Finances, our precious money How much is all this going to cost?
How could the costs for the Buyrocks be divided up:
01
In 2023, Germany paid an estimated €1.4 billion in plastic tax to the EU, which corresponds to approximately €800 per ton of non-recycled plastic packaging, or €0.80 per kilogram. However, since this payment does not solve the plastic problem, subsidizing Buyrocks would make more sense. Each individual Buyrock can save between 950 kilograms and 1.14 tons of plastic (based on a four-person household and an average car lifespan of eight years). Furthermore, the cost will not remain at €0.80 per kilogram, but will continue to rise. Since 2024, these costs have been paid directly by the industry, but this has led to sharp increases in product prices. It would therefore be logical to break this negative cycle by having the government/our politicians promote Buyrocks and thus do something for environmental and climate protection, instead of paying the penalty to the EU. And it does not matter who pays the penalty.
02
Let's stick with plastic. Of course, plastic can be recycled, but the proportion is less than 50 percent. Perhaps this is because recycled PET is more expensive to manufacture than newly produced plastic. But no matter how you look at it, whether it's a penalty tax or recycled plastic, it all contributes to higher product prices. But now there is Buyrocks. Weight, size, stability, weather, and material now play only a minor role in packaging. It would therefore be logical for product manufacturers and the packaging industry to take advantage of the new opportunities to switch to alternative packaging. Yes, that would make the product cheaper, but it would also help to reduce the cost of Buyrocks. Well, there are various models, e.g., discounts for Buyrocks customers, vouchers, advertising campaigns, advertising on the Buyrocks display, and much more, right up to promoting our project. After all, environmental and climate protection must also be in the interests of these manufacturers.
03
Even greater advantages and opportunities arise for retail groups. Marketing and advertising immediately spring to mind for all of us when it comes to this topic. Added to this is increased appeal to online services and mail order companies, as well as the major advantage that a registered Buyrocks customer does not become a shoplifter. As with product manufacturers and the packaging industry, retail groups can and must also contribute to reducing the costs of Buyrocks. But why must they? Because customers would not understand why corporations are not taking advantage of opportunities to protect the environment and climate.
04
Advertising is not only interesting for product manufacturers and retail chains. Perhaps a corporation would like to support the idea and present itself on Buyrocks with its own logo. After all, that would be a statement for environmental protection. Not just an advertisement on a poster or a 30-second TV commercial, but also showing people in several years' time, through advertising on Buyrocks, who has been committed to climate and environmental protection from the outset, believed in the idea, and was ahead of its time. And here we are not only thinking of the corporations mentioned so far or the automotive industry, but also of insurance companies that benefit indirectly from the health aspect, or of corporations that are not quite so environmentally friendly, which can not only improve their image and ease their conscience, but also take action to make an important contribution.
05
The automotive industry mentioned above will, of course, position itself on Buyrocks with its logo and trademark. And that's only right, because everyone should be able to see which companies are environmentally conscious. With such a boost to their image, profit margins could be reduced, and there would also be positive effects on CO2 emissions. The most important argument, sales figures, also speaks in favor of this. Whether the customer's reason for buying was convenience, health considerations, new transport options, or environmental protection, it ultimately doesn't matter; every Buyrock sold helps the climate, the environment, people, and animals.
06
Last but not least, the question remains: What does the customer still have to pay? Well, it's not money down the drain; you do get something in return. But was the question even the right one to ask? Shouldn't it rather be: How much are we all willing to pay for environmental and climate protection?
Conclusion
Doesn't it all sound logical? Hence the appeal to everyone involved:
Please join in, because protecting the environment is easiest when we work together. Holding back and waiting is the wrong approach. The climate, environment, and nature cannot wait.
